Cerner may have ceded U.S.   Epic and Cerner have long been in a head-to-head race for medical software contracts. The playing field changed in 2022 when Cerner merged with cloud titan Oracle , coinciding with a loss in its large health system customers in the U.S., according to health care technology research firm KLAS.
