As some of you may know, the focus of my PhD was to explore role of the immune system in VS, particularly a subset of immune cells known as T-cells. Along with PD-1, these T-cells expressed several other inhibitory molecules, all of which are targetable with immunotherapy-based drugs, like immune checkpoint blockade.
